Director Vicki Stewart has been involved in outdoor development training for 19 years. She lives with her young family; a rescue dog who is training to be a therapy dog; two rescue cats and a small orchard on the Wiltshire / Oxfordshire border. The family love hillwalking, canoeing and an outdoor life.
Vicki worked as a Development Training Officer in the Royal Air Force leading, analysing, designing and delivering team, leadership, instructor training and quality assurance. She was awarded a Military Commendation for this work enabling new RAF capabilities.
After having children she left the military and taught at Cumbria University on the Masters Degree programme in Outdoor Development. She established her own practice specialising in Outdoor Development Training and Forest School in 2009. She has been a Director of the Forest School Association and holds a place on the Research Team. She is a Senior Associate of Metris Leadership and a member of the Institute of Outdoor Learning. Brightwood Training is a member of the Federation of Small Businesses.
Qualifications:
Vicki holds a Masters Degree in Outdoor Learning & Development.
She is a Forest School Leader Level 3 and a Forest School Trainer Level 4. She is qualified in Training Needs Analysis, Training Design and Delivery. She is a Summer Mountain Leader; High & Low Ropes Instructor; qualified Chartered Management Institute Coach & Mentor and holds a number of psychometric qualifications for Team Dynamics Training including Strength Deployment Inventory, Transactional Analysis 101 and Mobile Team Challenge Facilitator. She is DBS checked, fully insured and holds an Outdoor First Aid Qualification and Food Hygiene Certificate.

Alex Williams is our associate trainer for Brightwood Training's Resilience & Reconfigure Programme She has a background in community work. She is a Level 4 Forest School Trainer. She co-developed the Neurodiversity and Challenging Behaviour Course and is co-trainer.
