Brightwood Training has developed an Alternative Provision Programme focussing on Resilience.
Resilience is our ability to adapt successfully in the presence of risk and adversity*.
For students who require alternative educational provision, their circumstances mean that developing this capability is crucial to coping with personal, medical, school and home-life. Without resilience, there are severe long term consequences on their mental and physical health; ability to live an independent life; maintain positive and healthy relationships and ability to keep themselves safe.

We are currently successfully delivering this project in Oxford.
Vicki will publish the research outcomes from this project in September 2018.
